Here, I include an example of a cross and noughts activity. I use it quite a lot for teaching vocabulary or teaching phonetics, when dealing with a specific phonic /.../ sound in some words.
Then the task works as follows, students are divided into pairs, they have a table like the one below, and they have to filling in it, in turns in other to make three matches together from one to down or from left to write or in diagonal positions.
